In June, The European Pallet Association e.V. (EPAL) brought together members of the international pallet industry in Munich, the city where the organisation was founded in 1991, to celebrate its 35th anniversary.

For our industry, the event was much more than a celebration. It was an opportunity to reflect on how three decades of shared standards, cooperation and continuous improvement have shaped the global pallet network we rely on today.

Baltic Block has been part of the EPAL community almost since the very beginning of our journey. Looking back, it is clear that EPAL has challenged us to continuously improve our products, strengthen our quality management, invest in better production processes and meet internationally recognised standards that customers trust.

Strong industry organisations play a vital role in driving progress. They establish a common language for quality, bring competitors and partners together to solve shared challenges, represent the interests of the industry and encourage innovation that benefits the entire supply chain. That is exactly what EPAL has achieved over the past 35 years.

Alongside celebrating the organisation's history, the conference looked ahead to the future of pallet logistics, with discussions on digitalisation, automation, sustainability, quality assurance and the evolving regulatory landscape. It was a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and gain new perspectives on where our industry is heading.
